MAUPIN Funeral services for Nell M. Maupin, 75 of Minco were held Saturday, January 31, 2004, 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Minco, with Rev. Sam Scott of the church officiating. Nell was born November 12, 1928 at Cogar to William L. and Lillie Ruth (Argo) Wilson and died Monday, January 26, 2004 at her home in Minco. She was born and raised in the Minco, Cogar communities. Nell moved to Oklahoma City when she was 16 and moved back to Minco in 1977 from Oklahoma City. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Minco and was a retired LPN for the Veterans Hospital. Ms. Maupin was preceded in death by her parents: William and Lillie Ruth Wilson; her husband: Chapman White "Buzz" Maupin; one daughter: Olivia Marie Maupin Ostrand; one sister: Billye Ruth Ritchey; one brother: John Cornelius. She is survived by one son: John A. Maupin of Okahoma City; one daughter: Leslie Denise Maupin of the home in Minco; one sister: Shirley Wilson of Oklahoma City; two grandchildren: Lillie Renee Maupin of Oklahoma City and John Alexander Maupin of Oklahoma City; one great grandson: Zaccharias A. Maupin of Oklahoma City. At the families request in lieu of flowers, please consider donations to: Troy and Dollie Smith Cancer Center for Research, 3300 N.W.
