MACE, 97, of Anadarko were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 15, 1999 in Memory Lane Cemetery, Anadarko under the direction of the Steverson Funeral Home of Anadarko. Mrs. MACE was born Sept. 18, 1901 south of Carnegie to Henry R. and Elizabeth (SCHULZ) JONES and died Saturday, Feb. 13, 1999 in Binger. Mrs. Mace grew up in the Alden area south of Carnegie and attended Neola School. Before her marriage she worked as a telephone operator in Oklahoma City and Shawnee. She married Robert A. MACE Oct. 29, 1929 in Ventura, CA. and they operated their own laundry and dry cleaning businesses in Lawton, OK, Oklahoma City and Pleasanton, CA. When they retired they moved to Boulder Creek, CA and in 1973 they came to Anadarko. Mr. MACE died in 1974 and Mrs. MACE continued to live there until 1992 when she went to the Binger Nursing Home. She was a memeber of the First Baptist Church of Anadarko. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband , two sisters and two brothers. Survivors include several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews --------------------------------------------------------------------
