All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Lawton Constitution 13 Nov 2003 Marvin Meek ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Funeral for former Fort Cobb resident Marvin Meek, 93, Albuquerque, N.M., will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Fort Cobb First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Joseph Albrecht officiating. Mr. Meek died Monday, Nov. 10, 2003, at an Albuquerque care center. Burial will be at Fort Cobb Cemetery under direction of Fort Cobb-Hackney Funeral Home. He was born May 12, 1910, north of Fort Cobb to Mitchell and Maggie Meek. He graduated from Fort Cobb High School in 1928. He married Katherine Elizabeth Williams on April 21, 1933. She died March 25, 2003. He was a retired farmer and owner of Meek Motor Company in Fort Cobb for many years. He was a member and past president of the Fort Cobb Rotary Club. Survivors include a daughter, Jo Kay Highstrete; two grandchildren and their spouses: Laura Kaye and Estuardo Aguilar; and Maj.
