McPherson November 16, 2000 YUKON -- Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, 20-Nov-2000 at the Antioch Christian Church in Oklahoma City, Ok. for Ivan C. McPherson, 80, of Yukon, Ok. McPherson died Thursday, 16-Nov-2000. Burial was in the Carnegie Cemetery under the direction of the Bill Merritt's Choice Funeral Care of Yukon. McPherson was born 31-Jan-1920 in rural Fort Cobb to C. Claude and Pearl McPherson. He married the former Mildred Lester in 1938 and they remained husband and wife for almost 60 years. She preceded him in death in 1998. On 17-May-1999 he married longtime family friend, Norma Dyer. He and his wife Mildred lived in the Oney community for 43 years. He was an active longtime member of the Caddo County Farm Bureau, being named Farmer of the Year in 1970. He was an elder of the Oney Chirstian Church. Ivan and Mildred retired and moved to Yukon in 1986. Preceding him in death, besides his wife Mildred, was a granddaughter, Candace Levesey. Survivors include his wife Norma of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Myrna and Coy Morse; one son and daughter-in-law, Curtis C. and Dorothy McPherson; stepson, Dwane Dyer and his wife Shirley; stepdaugter, Doreen Payne and her husband John; three grandchildren; six step grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Lucille McPherson, William and Janelle Watson, and Al and Evelyn McPherson; and one sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Clarence Meek.
