All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== The Chickasha Express-Star 14 April 2004 ALICE MARIE (SALLY OLIPHANT) MICKLE Alice Marie (Sally Oliphant) Mickle was born September 17, 1960, to Finis and Sharon (Meeks) Oliphant in Ft. Cobb, and passed away April 13, 2004, at her home in Chickasha, OK, at the age of 43, following a lengthy illness. Sally graduated from Oney High School in 1978. After high school, she pursued a journalism degree at USAO in Chickasha. She worked at the Chickasha Daily Express and for the State Transition and Reintegration System in Chickasha. Sally was a member of the Grand Assembly of God Church in Chickasha. She loved to send devotionals via e-mail and through the postal service. She will be truly missed by her "buddies." Sally was married in 1979 to Buddy Saunders. They had 2 children, Lacy MeChelle Saunders and Sara Kathleen Saunders. In July 1987, Sally married Nick Mickle. They had a son, Jess Earl Mickle. She had 2 stepchildren, Nicholas and Jaycee Mickle, and 1 granddaughter, Hanna Marie Mickle. Sally was preceded in death by her grandparents, Floyd and Nellie Meeks, and Finis Sr., and Katie Oliphant. Survivors include Sally's husband, Nick Mickle and her son, Jess Mickle, of the home; two daughters, Lacy of Oney and Sara of Baylor U. in Waco, TX; parents, Finis and Sharon Oliphant of Oney; three sisters, Cindy Kelley and family of Weatherford, OK, Penny Mandrell and family of Chickasha, Shelly Allen and family of Oney. Sally had a great zest for life and poured her heart and soul into everything that she decided to do. She loved her family and was a wonderful mother, sister, daughter, wife and friend. She loved the Lord and is with Him now. Services will be held at Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 15th, 2004, in Albert, Oklahoma. Rev. Larry Hatfield will be officiating, assisted by Rev. Donald Wright. Burial will be at the Oney Cemetery in Albert, Oklahoma.
