McLane APACHE - Funeral for Essie M. McLane, 91, Apache, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Apache Oak Street Church of Christ with Roy Young officiating. Mrs. McLane died Tuesday, May 13, 2003, in Lawton. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Apache, under direction of Crews Funeral Home. She was born Nov. 13, 1911, south of Carnegie, to John J. and Eva Brewster. She married Albert O. McLane on Jan. 17, 1933, in Anadarko. He died Feb. 16, 1971. They moved to Apache in 1950, and she was a homemaker. She was a member of Apache Oak Street Church of Christ. Survivors include three sons: Glen A. McLane, Greenville, N.C.; Carl E. McLane, Apache; and Billie G. McLane, Oklahoma City; a daughter, Anna Mae Watts, Albuquerque, N.M.; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren; two brothers: June Brewster, Fort Cobb; and George Brewster, Whitefield; and three sisters: Alice Steinhaus and Nora Ledbetter, both of Sacramento, Calif.; and Ida Schoonover, Grapevine, Texas. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Caddo County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/caddo/caddo.html
