All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm +========================================================================+ The Chickaha Express-Star 4 December 2003 VIVIAN (STEPHENS) McCURDY Vivian (Stephens) McCurdy, 77, of Anadarko, passed away December 2, 2003, at Physician's Hospital, Anadarko, Oklahoma. Vivian was born December 24, 1925, to Oscar Stephens Ross and Martha Kiddahwaddy Reeder near Gracemont, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Wichita Tribe, where she served as an enrollment clerk. She attended Chilocco Indian School and St. Patrick's Catholic Mission. Ms. McCurdy enjoyed sewing, beading and reading. Survivors include 9 children: Christina Stephens and husband, Tom, Blanchard, Elizabeth "Annie" Tissychy, Anadarko, Dave Stephens and wife, Mimi, Anadarko, Mary Ahdunko, Anadarko, Martha McCurdy and companion, C. J. Watkins, Anadarko, Amy Gomez and Curtis Smith, Anadarko, Roxanne Coker and husband Darin, Anadarko, Carol Jean McCurdy, Chickasha; 2 sisters: Wanda Matlock, Anadarko, Carla Niastor, New York, 1 brother, Murray Niastor, Anadarko; 25 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Lee McCurdy, her parents, 1 brother, Delano Stephens, 1 sister, Doris Brewster, and 1 daughter, Susan Allen. Wake service will be at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, December 4, 2003, at the Smith-Hackney Funeral Home Chapel, Anadarko. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 5th, 2003, at the Smith-Hackney Funeral Home Chapel, Anadarko.
