All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Eva Mae Mathis Bakersfield Californian Eva Mae Mathis 1923 - 2002 Eva Mae Mathis was born on April 18, 1923, in Eakly, Oklahoma, to John and Edith Bickerstaff. She and Harlen Mathis were married and moved to Kern County in 1940. She was preceded in death by her dad and mom, John and Edith, her husband, Harlen, grandson, Brian, twin infant granddaughters, brother, Claude and sisters, Bertha, Christine and Evelyn. She is survived by two daughters, Claudine and fiancé, Bruce Tuckness, Carlyn and fiancé, Lance Bowman; two granddaughters, Sarah Wiggins and Amanda Lack; and one great-grandson, Kyle Wiggins; sisters, Viola, Dollie and Lora and two brothers, John David and Preston, numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces. The family wishes to especially thank Jerry Abernathy, Myrna Davidson, Cora Livingston and Doris Garrett for their many hours of care and love that they gave Eva. Also, thank you to Dr. Matuk and Hoffmann Hospice.
