"Eby" Munson, 88, Lawton, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Apache First Christian Church in with Shane Hall, pastor, officiating. Mrs. Munson died Monday, May 6, 2002, at an Oklahoma City hospital. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Apache, under direction of Robbins Funeral Home, Fletcher. She was born Sept. 25, 1913, in Apache to Roy G. and Delia Carter Porch. She graduated with honors from Apache High School in 1932. She was her high school representative in the district history competition and won top honors. She attended Anadarko Business College and worked as church secretary and treasurer for Apache First Christian Church. She was a military officer’s wife and Red Cross "Gray Lady" during World War II. She worked in the home nursing and companion nursing field for Dr. Demas and Dr. French Worthen in Lawton for many years. She was a member of Apache First Christian Church, and a charter member of Alpha Beta chapter of Beta Sigma Pi sorority. She was elected to join the Kenny Kenet chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Colorado Springs. Survivors include one sister, Alice Marie Scott, Oklahoma City; two nieces: Cynthia Ashmore and Karen Bowman, both of Oklahoma City; and two nephews: Shelby Scott and Jim Johnson, both of Oklahoma City. She is preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Peggy Johnson.
