All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::NOT LISTED Lawton Constitution 5 Apr 2003 Nelda Jo Kardokus Montgomery STUDIO CITY, Calif. — Memorial service for former Apache resident Nelda Jo Kardokus Montgomery, 65, Studio City, Calif., will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Apache First Christian Church. Ms. Montgomery died Thursday, April 3, 2003. Arrangements are by Memorial Chapel, Noble. She was born Dec. 13, 1937, to James M. and Beatrice Kardokus. She graduated from Apache High School and attended the University of Oklahoma. She moved to southern California when she was young and worked in the film industry. She was a film editor and writer for Paramount and Universal Studios, and wrote for the Alias Smith and Jones and Hunter television series. She was a freelance writer and wrote several books. She was a member of the Writers Guild of America, and lived in Studio City. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Kirk and Lori Montgomery, Lakewood, Colo.; two grandchildren: Bo and Shasta, Lakewood; two brothers: James Kerwin Kardokus, Apache; and Steve Kardokus, Noble; her stepmother, Opal Kardokus, Anadarko; and two stepsisters: Carolyn McBride, Anadarko; and Sandra Hill, Tulsa. She was preceded in death by her mother and father; and a brother, Kenneth Dale Kardokus.
