MINDEMANN, ILL TWO MONTHS, CALLED SUCCUMBS AT HOME NEAR TOWN LAST THURSDAY NIGHT-WAS A NATIVE OF GERMANY Mrs. Anna Mindemann, wife of G. W. Mindemann, died at her home 3 miles northeast of town last Thursday night following an illness of two months. She was 67 years old. Funeral services were held at St. Peter's Lutheran church, 4 miles northeast of town, Sunday afternoon and were conducted by Rev. Henry Heitfeld of Lawton. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Wm. Bauer and Paul Pfeiffer of Apache, Wm. Wisman of Union City, Wm. Siller of Lawton, B. J. Rogstad of Chickasha and Adolph Zweiacker of Devol. Mrs. Mindemann had received treatment in a Chickasha hospital for about a month and returned to her home three weeks before death came. She was a native of Germany, being born near Carnitz on June 13, 1874. She came to the United States when she was 9 years old, making the trip with a woman friend of her family, and located at Lotts Creek, Kossuth County, Iowa. She was married at that place to Mr. Mindemann on May 11, 1894. They resided at Lotts Creek until coming to Oklahoma in 1901. They settled at Union City and lived there until moving to near Apache in 1911. Mrs. Mindemann had long been a member of the Lutheran church. Surviving the deceased are the husband; three sons, Arnold, George, and Pete Mindemann, all of Apache; four daughters, Mrs. Fred Pohlemann of Medicine Park, Mrs. Edward Koerner of Minco, Mrs. Leo Zweiacker of Devol and Miss Leona Mindemann, at home; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
