Myrick Dies At Carnegie Tuesday Funeral services were held for R.D. "Lee" Myrick Tuesday, August 4 at 3:00 p.m. in the Carnegie Methodist church with Rev. Ray Menard, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Alfalfa cemetery. Mr. Myrick died at his home in Carnegie August 3. He had been in failing health for some time but remained active until a few days before his death. He united with the Alfalfa Methodist church in 1908 and remained a member until his death. He was active in religious work as long as his physical condition permitted. He was born in North Carolina, May 12, 1869. When two years old he moved with his parents to Texas where he lived until 1903. With the exception of four years in Texas he has lived in Oklahoma since 1903. He has been a resident of Carnegie since 1938. He was married to Emma Shinn who died in January 1904. To them seven children were born, two dying in infancy, two in early childhood and a daughter, Mrs. Alva Jones, in 1941. November 24, 1907 he was married to Mrs. Anna Story. He is survived by his widow, a son, Clarence D. Myrick, San Antonio, Texas; a daughter, Mrs. Lake Bishop of Bunger, Texas, four step-children, F.B. Story, El Monte, Calif., and Mrs. D. G. Figgs, Oklahoma City.
