MARTIN Last rites for Mrs. Leslie Martin were held at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon, June 21, in the First Baptist Church of Cyril. Rev. Frank Jennings, pastor, and Rev. Kenneth Haley, minister of the Christian Church, officiated with Rev. J.E. Earl assisting. Interment was in the Fairview cemetery under the direction of the Dalton Funeral Home of Fletcher. Mrs. Martin, a resident of Cyril for 34 years, died at her home here last Tuesday night following a prolonged illness. She was born March 5, 1895 in Delon, Texas, and came to Oklahoma as a small girl. They settled near Cyril and she was raised on a farm south of Cyril. Surviving is the husband, Leslie Martin, of the home address; one daughter, Mrs. Cecil Moser of Cyril; one son, Kernel Page Martin of Cyril; three sisters, Mrs. Ada Drake of Oklahoma City, Ok.; Mrs. Laura Pelzer of Elgin, Ok. and Mrs. Clarence McGuire of Elgin, Ok. Also surviving are four brothers, Isom Edwards of Cement; George Edwards of Marlow, Ok.; Sherman Edwards of Cyril; and Bill Edwards of Leesville, La., as well as six grandchildren --------------------------------------------------------------------
