Officiating was Father Mike Wheelahan. A rosary service was held 22-May-2000 at the Steverson Funeral Home Chapel in Anadarko. Burial was in the Gracemont Cemetery under the direction of the Steverson Funeral Home. Ms. Martin was born 13-May-1970 in Anadarko to Tommy and Jackie (Jennings) Reyes. She married Shawn Martin 01-Feb-1985 in Drumwright, Creek County, Ok. She lived in the Gracemont community where she attended school. For the past two years she had been employed by VISTA and managed the Family Literacy Program at the Anadarko Community Library. She also conducted Story Time and Parenting Classes in Anadarko, Fort Cobb, Gracemont, Carnegie, Binger and Lookeba-Sickles. She was an enthusiastic and well organized worker, who related well with others and earned the respect and admiration of her fellow employees. She was a member of the Anadarko Literacy Council, the Caddo County Inter-Agency Coalition and the Oklahoma State Literacy Coalition. Preceding her in death was her mother; one brother, Paul Reyes; and one sister, Teresa Lafoon.
