All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Lawton Constitution 11 Nov 2003 Eddie LeRoy "Little Bear" Martin Funeral for Eddie LeRoy "Little Bear" Martin, 68, Apache, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with William Sprague, pastor, Cache Road Baptist Church, officiating. Mr. Martin died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2003, at a local hospital. Burial will be at Walters Cemetery. He was born Dec. 19, 1934, in Walters, to Hughie and Ione Brinkley Martin. He married Peggy Maxfield on May 29, 1998, in Killeen, Texas. He was a farmer in west Kansas, and moved to Lawton to take care of his mother. He owned Mama Bear's Pecan Shop. He was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Jack McGinnis, Bolivar, Mo.; four sons and daughters-in-law: Tony and Brenda Martin, Enid; Cliff and Karen Martin, Ellsworth, Kan.; Eddie LeRoy Jr. and Sandy Martin, Stockton, Kan.; and Scott and Sue Martin, Houston; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Patsy and Billy Bridges, Lawton; and Sharon and Billy McChesney, Little Rock, Ark.; a brother and sister-in- law, Robert and Adele Martin, Lancaster, Texas; 26 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Darrell Martin; and a sister, Nadine Dilday.
