Manning, Jackie Mae

Jackie Mae Manning Feb. 20, 1935 - Apr. 2, 2007 Funeral services will 
be held today Wednesday, April 4th, 2:00 p.m., at Hillcrest Memorial 
Park. Jackie was born in Cement, Oklahoma on February 20, 1935 to 
Jasper and Connie Kent. She moved to Bakersfield at the age of 8. She 
graduated from East High School in 1954. On July 29, 1955 she married 
James Albert Manning and had three children, Steven, Marla and Janet. 
She was a charter member of Hillcrest Baptist Church that later 
became Valley Baptist. She worked many years for the Bakersfield City 
Schools as a cafeteria employee. She is survived by her loving 
husband, J.A.; son, Steven Manning and wife, Debra; daughter, Marla 
McKinzie and husband, Edward; daughter, Janet; stepson, Joel Bailey 
and wife, Jan. She loved and enjoyed all her grandchildren. She is 
also survived by her sister, June and husband, Richard Clagg; and 
sister, Mary Horton. She will be loved and missed by all
