Nixon 08-Apr-2000 Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, 11-Apr-2000 at the Anadarko First Christian Church for Margaret A. Nixon, 89, of Anadarko, who died 08-Apr-2000 in Purcell, McClain county, Ok. Officiating was Rev. Charles Roberts, pastor. Burial was in Memory Lane Cemetery at Anadarko under the direction of the Steverson Funeral Home of Anadarko. Mrs. Nixon was born 28-Apr-1910 in Anadarko to Louis Franklin and Vivian Ruth (Jones) Lacer. She married Carl C. Cummings in 1928 in Dallas, Texas. He preceded her in death in November of 1956. She later married David Nixon. She was a lifelong resident of Anadarko where she attended school. She and her first husband owned a cafe for several years during the Depression. She later worked at Cashway Grocery. She was a member of the First Christian Church and served as church secretary and treasurer for over 30 years. She belonged to the Rebekah Lodge and the Iris Unit of the Anadarko Garden Club. Preceding her in death besides her first husband were her parents; three grandsons; one great-granddaughter; one brother, Lewis Lacer; one sister, Lorene Turney; and one son-in-law, Jack Ward.
