Officiating at the service was Amon Harjo and Marvin Delaware. A prayer service was held 04-May-2000 at the Smith Funeral Chapel. Burial was in the Rock Springs Cemetery, north of Anadarko, under the direction of the Smith Funeral Chapel. Owings was born 22-Sep-1962 in Lawton, Comanche County, Ok. to James A. Owings, Sr. and Maureen Edge. He lived in Oklahoma City and graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1980. During that time he played baseball in both Little League and high school. He was a batboy for many years on his fathers fast pitch softball teams and traveled with the team. Preceding him in death was his father.
