POOLER Funeral services for Lois M. Pooler, 86, of Cement, Okla., are pending with Ferguson Funeral Home. Lois M. Pooler was born April 26, 1918, and died on Thursday, Sept. 30, 2004, in Chickasha, Okla. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star 3 October 2004 LOIS M. POOLER Funeral services for Lois M. Pooler, 86, of Cement, will be held Monday, October 4, 2004, at 1:30 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel. Lois Mildred Taylor Pooler went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 30, 2004. Mrs. Pooler died at her home Thursday evening, surrounded by her family. Lois was born April 28, 1918, in Hollister, Oklahoma, the daughter of Tom Taylor and Aubrey Cockreham Taylor. She moved with her family to the Cement area in 1930. She graduated from Cement High School in 1936. Lois was united in marriage to Earnest "Frex" S. pooler, on July 11, 1936. They were married for 60 wonderful years before Mr. Pooler preceded her in death in December of 1996. Lois was an active member of Parkview Christian Church. She was a member of the Lamplighters Sunday school class and had a church telephone ministry to shutins. She was a member of Kechi and later Fairview quilting clubs, lifetime member of Weight Watchers, ABWA, Order of the Eastern Star and honorary grandmother to Mrs. Ratzliff's Pre-K class at Ninnekah Elementary. She also was an active member of the Ninnekah Senior Citizens. Lois retired from J. C. Penny in 1985. Lois will be remembered for many things but especially her cakes and cobblers. She loved to cook and share it with her friends and neighbors. She also enjoyed working in her yard. Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest "Frex" Pooler; her parents, Tom and Aubrey Taylor; two brothers, Baxter Taylor and Carl Taylor; one sister, Mary Cook; and one infant grandson. Our beloved Momma and Mamaw is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Peggy ad Harry Sites, of Cement; two granddaughters, Desi and Rex Goldsmith and Tonya and James Williams, all of Cement; one grandson, Rusty and Brenda Sites, of Chickasha; one great granddaughter, Taylor Sites, of Chickasha, two great grandsons, Jesse Sites, of Chickasha, and Joshua Williams, of Cement; aunt, Peggy Fry, of Chickasha. She is also survived by a loving host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
