All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== The Bakersfield Californian 23 March 2004 VIOLET BEATRICE PRITCHETT 08-03-1912 - 03-20-2004 A graveside service will be conducted by Peters Funeral Home for Violet Beatrice Pritchett, age 91, on Wednesday, March 24, 2004, at 10AM, at Shafter Memorial Park. Pastor Larry Wood of Valley Baptist Church on Fruitvale Avenue will officiate at the service. Violet was born near Gracemont, Oklahoma to Frank and Frances Barton. Violet married Grady Pritchett on August 11, 1931, and the couple came to Kern County in 1950. Violet enjoyed being a wife and mother and caring for her family. She was a member of the Fairfax Southern Baptist Church. Violet was preceded in death by her husband, Grady (1990); her parents, her sister, Bernice Compton; brother, Homer Barton; son, Art Pritchett; granddaughter, Becky. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Leonard and Jeannette Pritchett of Phoenix, Marvin and Betty Pritchell of Bakersfield, Kathryn and Bob Tucker of Bakersfield, Wilda and Bob Burdick of Lompoc, Wanda and Dick Sears of Arroyo Grande; Brother, Bill and wife, Billie Barton of ARkansas; sister, Helen and husband, L. A. Trotter of Montana; 7 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. Special thanks to Parkview Julian Convalescent Hospital and Dr. Maria Garcia and staff for the wonderful care given to Violet.
