All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::NOT LISTED DANIEL THOMAS RUBEY Daniel Thomas Rubey was born October 16, 1943 in Carnegie, Oklahoma to Vernon Clarence and Virgie Florence (Matthews) Rubey. He passed from this life on October 20, 2006 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, 4 days after his 63rd birthday. Dan married his loving and devoted wife Linda (Kelley) Rubey on November 8, 1963 in Carnegie, Oklahoma. He served his country in the U.S. Army from October 17, 1960 to February 28, 1983. He was proud to have been a Vietnam War Veteran and to have had the privilege to serve his country. After his retirement from the military, he worked as a truck driver for various companies, the last having been Madison Inc. in Sapulpa. Apart from working, Dan enjoyed golf, gardening, building things and spending time with his family. He was a very athletic person and had coached his son's in various sports when they were young. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 half sisters; Florene & Ethel. He is survived by his loving wife Linda, 2 sons; Kevin Rubey and his wife Kim of Bixby, Travis Wayne Rubey and his wife Sheryl of St. James, MO, 2 brothers; Keith Rubey and his wife Elizabeth of Liberty Mounds, and Ray Rubey and his wife Betty of Graham, TX, 2 brother-in laws; Les & John Kelley of Carnegie, Oklahoma and 10 grandchildren; Elizabeth, Jennifer, John, Nikki, Mieranda, Derek, Trenton, Quenton, Zachary & Maddison. Casket bearers were Bill Rubey, Dave Rubey, Brian Rubey, Lloyd Ganus, Richard Schuerman & Fearl Ray. Honorary bearers were Earl McBride & John Talbot.
