All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== The Chickasha Express-Star - 2 May 2005 NORMA LENORE [BOWERMAN] RACKLEY Funeral services for Norma Lenore Rackley, 79, of Cement, will be Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. in the Church of Christ, Cyril, with Doug Graham and Cliff Werhan, officiating. Mrs. Rackley died Saturday, April 30, 2005 at her sister's residence in Cement. Burial will be in th Cement Cemetery under direction of Hodge Funeral Home, Fletcher. She was born April 17, 1926 in Cement to Albert S. Bowerman and Junie Mae (Young) Bowerman. She graduated from Cement High School in the early 40s. Norma married Walter Carlen Rackley, December 17, 1944 in San Diego, CA, he died June 21, 1993. She was trained and served as Postmaster of the Post Office in Cement and retired as Postmaster in 1992. She was a member of the Cyril Church of Christ for many years and was active in the mission field especially in Africa and was visited by the missionaries from Afrtica acknowledging her generous support. She was also a member of the American Postal Workers Union, and was very active in city organizations; the Cement Community Assoc., Curator of the Cement Museum, the Town Historian, Town Library and was known to take in many of the stray dogs in town. Survivors include; a sister, Melva Joyce Estes of Cement, a daughter, Kay Lynn Hair and her husband, Randy, of Norman, a son, Timothy Keith Rackley of Norman, a daughter-in-law, Caryl Rackley, 3 granddaughters; Leigh Katherine Love of Oklahoma City, Letitia Ann Wehba of Edmond, Shanna Lynn Love of Las Vegas, NV, 3 grandsons; Eddie Lee Rackley of Norman, Shawn Mark Love of Oklahoma City, and Jerry William Hair of Oklahoma City, a great granddaughter, Jayce Ann Wehba of Edmond, 2 great grandsons, Nicolas Tyler Wehba of Edmond and Jack Ryan Love of Oklahoma City. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Caddo County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/caddo/caddo.html
