She was born near Carnegie, OK, the fifth child of James G. and Mabel Peek. She passed away peacefully with family by her side. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Aristle C. Russell; their 2 children, Jeffrey K. Russell and wife, Mary Carol, and Rebecca Ann Spears and husband, Stanley; 3 grandchildren, Heather Russell, Megan White, and Anna Spears; 1 great-grandson, Izaac White; 2 sisters, Loretta Grayson and Irene George; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, and infant son, Stephen. Juanita was the church secretary at Epworth Methodist Church for over 20 years. She was a member of Grace Methodist Church, The Ladies Music Club and a long time Volunteer Reader at Windsor Hills Elementary School. Juanita loved to entertain and was a gracious hostess to many groups. She will be missed by a host of friends and neighbors. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to American Cancer Society - Okla. County Unit, 2233 NW 39th Expressway, OKC, OK 73112. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday June 4, 2003 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
