A wake service was held 11-Jun-2000 at the Pitcher-Hackney Funeral Home Chapel of Carnegie. Burial was in the Samone Indian Cemetery under the direction of the Pitcher-Hackney Funeral Home. Mrs. Redbird was born 08-May-1920 to Odlepahquote (Whitefox) and Carrie Touhaddle (I-See-O). She married Ernest Redbird Sr. She attended Riverside Indian School. After putting all her children through high school, she received her GED in May of 1990. She was a member of the Rainy Mountain Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Kiowa War Mothers Chapter 18, the Kiowa Warror Descendants and the Kiowa Native American Church. She was well known in the dance arena and was one of the original Sound Chief singers. Preceding her in death was her husband; her parents; one sister, Lizzie Ahpeahtone; two brothers, Glenn Whitefox and William Whitefox; one daughter, Avona E.
