Radford, a resident of the Swan Lake community for 50 years. Mrs. Radford died in an Anadarko hospital Oct. 31 after being seriously ill about two and a half weeks. Rev. Charles Curry, of the Swan Lake Baptist church, was in charge of the services and burial was in the Radford cemetery. Mrs. Radford was 78 years old. She had been a member of the Methodist church since she was 17 years of age. Julia L. Branum was born in Lee county, Texas, March 11, 1875. She was married to S.A. Radford Dec. 2, 1897. The family came to Caddo county at the opening of the country in 1901 and homesteaded west of Swan Lake. Mr. Radford died Aug. 8, 1924. Survivors are the children and include three daughters, Mrs. Beulah Harris, Hydro, Rt. 3; Mrs. May Wilson, Binger; Mrs. Lavada Cook, Mountain View, and three sons, Asbury Radford, Apache; Jeff Radford, Carnegie, and Jack Radford, Dimmitt, Texas. Also surviving are three brother, Jesse Branum, Austin, Texas, and Ed Branum and Curtis Branum, both of Fort Worth, and a sister, Mrs. Ada Carter of Austin.
