She moved to the Indian Territory with her parents in her early childhood and was united in marriage with G. J. Ratliff on her 18th birthday. To this union were born thirteen children, four boys and nine girls. She united with the Baptist church and was a tireless and faithful helper among the sick, a devoted wife and mother and loved by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband in December 1940.
