Rollins Funeral services for Alice M. Rollins, 88, formerly of Chickasha will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 29, 2006, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel. Alice M. Rollins was born October 20, 1917, in Cyril, Oklahoma. She died April 22, 2006, in Long Beach, California. Viewing will be held Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home. ========= © The Chickasha Express-Star Thursday, 27 April 2006 Alice M. Rollins Funeral services for Alice M. Rollins, 88, formerly of Chickasha will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 29, 2006, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel, with Rick Perry Officiating. Alice M. Rollins was born October 20, 1917, in Cyril, Oklahoma, the daughter of Frank and Martha [Johnson] Parker. She died April 22, 2006, in Long Beach, California. Alice grew up on a farm in Cement, Oklahoma, and attended Cement Public Schools She met her husband, Ed Rollins in Cement. They were married on October 14, 1935. Ed preceded her in death on June 28, 1961. She was very devoted and active in her children's lives and activities; not only as children but as adults as well. In 1963 she moved her family to California to be near her sister, Elsie. She started her own cleaning business in 1973 and operated it until her retirement, January 10, 2001. She had an active life; she loved to travel, ride horses, fish, cook, and listen to country music. Her favorite hobby was collecting videos, especially videos of John Wayne. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church, and the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by both parents; her husband, Ed, one son, Larry; two brothers: Merle and Frank, Jr.; and one sister, Lucy. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law: Gayle and Donna Rollins; daughter, Elaine Scott; four grandchildren: Anna Maria Gaines, Lisa Potsee, Edward Walters, and Debbie Dodson, ten great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; sister, Elsie; adopted family Jerry and Brenda Wilkins and their families; and many nieces, nephews, and special friends.
