Opal Shaw

HEREFORD - Opal Shaw, 81, died Thursday, April 8, 1999.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday in Temple Baptist Church with H.W. 
Bartlett officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery by Rix Funeral 
Directors of Hereford.

Mrs. Shaw was born in DeKalb and attended schools in Oklahoma. She moved 
to Hereford in 1960 where she was a member of the Temple Baptist Church. 
In 1980, she retired as manager of NIF-T Foods.

She married Wayne Elvin Shaw in 1933 at Anadarko, Okla. He died in 1989.

Survivors include a son, Ken Shaw of Turlock, Calif.; a daughter, Loretta 
Woodard of Hereford; five brothers, Frances of Socorro, N. M., Leon 
Hawkins of Kingsville, Everett Hawkins of Oklahoma City, Carl Hawkins of 
Cullman, Ala., and Meldon Hawkins of Lookeba, Okla.; three sisters, Ruth 
Taylor of Cullman, Ruby Elliott of Pryor, Okla., and Lucy Elliott of 
Oklahoma City; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and friend, 
Melvin Faulkner.
