All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.html ========================================================================== The Register Guard (Eugene OR) 9 Sep 2005 Reba Speakman REEDSPORT - The funeral will be held Sept. 10 for Reba Nadine Speakman of Reedsport, who died Sept. 6 of cancer. She was 81. Speakman was born June 7, 1924, in Caddo County, Okla., to Coin and Susie Morris London. She married James Speakman on Sept. 4, 1942, in Ponca City, Okla. She had lived in Reedsport since 1965 and worked as a nurse's aide at Lower Umpqua Hospital until she retired at 72. She belonged to the Assembly of God Church. Her family said she had a beautiful singing voice, which she shared in church and at the hospital. She enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting, sewing, baking cookies and fishing. Survivors include her husband; a son, Darrell of Lakeside; a daughter, Susan Stewart of Lakeside; a brother, Patrick London of Milpitas, Calif.; two sisters, Juanita Head of Lawton, Okla., and Donna Lobdell of Edmond, Okla.; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grand- children. A son, Neil, died previously. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Assembly of God Church in Reedsport. Saturday's service will be held at 1 p.m. at the church. After the funeral, burial will be in Reedsport Masonic Cemetery. Dunes Memorial Chapel in Reedsport is in charge of arrangements.
