The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ==================================================================== Surnames: Sankadota, Tainpeah, Goomtigh Maggie Tainpeah Sankadota October 01, 2000 Graveside services were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, 04-Oct-2000 in Anadarko's Memory Lane Cemetery for Maggie Tainpeah Sankadota, 89, of Stecker, who died 01-Oct-2000 at the Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton, Comanche county, Ok. Officiating were the Rev. George Montanari and Duke Tsoodle. A prayer service was held Tuesday, 03-Oct-2000 at the Smith Funeral Chapel in Anadarko. Services were under the direction of the Smith Funeral Chapel of Anadarko. Mrs. Sankadota was born 11-Oct-1910 in the Carnegie area to William Tainpeah and Lottie Goomtigh. She married Clarence Sankadota in Stecker in 1921. She was the great great granddaughter of Heap-of- Bears. She attended school at Cedar Dale and Chilocco Indian School. She was employed as a Civil Service worker at Fort Sill for a number of years. Preceding her in death were her parents, four sisters, one brother, three granddaughters and two grandsons. Survivors include three daughters, one son, and 18 grandchildren.
