SMITH FUNERAL RITES HELD SUNDAY Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Sunday for George C. Smith, 90,retired farmer who died Friday morning at his Cyril home after a brief illness. Rev. J.C. Earl, retired Cyril minister and Rev. Jack Burton, Cyril Methodist minister officiated in the Dalton Funeral Home Chapel, Fletcher. Another service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the Duke Methodist church with Rev. Bob Milner, pastor and Rev. Earl in charge. Burial was in the Duke cemetery under the direction of the Dalton Funeral Home. Born January 23, 1868, in Greenup county, Ky., Smith had resided most of his life in the Cyril area. he was a member of the Methodist church. He is survived by two sons, five daughters, 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Also two sisters. Pallbearers at the Fletcher service were E.O. Bowling, L.B. Yager, Ret Moody, Freddie Sawyer, Roscoe Davis and J.B.
