Smith Graveside services will be held 16-Apr-1999 in the Fort Cobb cemetery for Edward C. Smith who died 13-Apr-1999 in Fort Cobb. Burial will be under the direction of the Fort Cobb Funeral Home of Fort Cobb, Ok. Smith was born 09-Nov-1911 in Olustee, Ok., to Clyde and Laura (Griffin) Smith. He married 29-Jan-1934 Jessie E. Lisk in Anadarko. He farmed in the Fort Cobb area for 60 years. He was a musician who played the fiddle in a country and western band for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter-in-law, Ailene Smith; one brother, Emery 'Slim' Smith; and two sisters, Eula McCrea and Marie Tessmer.
