Scammahorn APACHE — Funeral for Clyde L. Scammahorn, 88, Apache, will be at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Leon Shade, pastor, and the Rev. A.L. Swagerty officiating. Mr. Scammahorn died Thursday, March 13, 2003, in Lawton. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Apache, under direction of Crews Funeral Home. He was born Dec. 28, 1914, near Apache to Earl and Emma Scammahorn. He married Eula Merle Conaway Oct. 20, 1935, in Apache. He farmed in the Apache area and retired in 1979. He also drove a school bus for the Apache school district for many years. He was a member of Apache First Baptist Church, the Apache Senior Citizens Center and the American Quarterhorse Association. Survivors include his wife; three sons: Eddie Scammahorn and Gary Scammahorn, both of Apache; and Gene Scammahorn, Plano, Texas; a daughter, Donna Wainscott, Lawton; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Pauline Dodson, Lawton; and a brother, Roy Scammahorn, Apache.
