Funeral services were held at his home Sunday morning at 11 o'clock and interment in the Anadarko cemetery June 24. Ernest M. Adams conducted the services and Roy D. Hansen, undertaker, was in charge of the funeral. Pallbearers were Ted Jansen, Lee Tippett, Orin Hall, B.Tackett, Clyde Brummell and James Robinson. Gaines Sawyer was united in the holy bonds of matrimony with Alice Riley April 15, 1901 at McMillan, Okla., where they lived in the surrounding neighborhood until they moved near Verden a few years ago. He leaves to mourn his departure his wife, two sons, Jesse and Otto; one daughter, Vera; two brothers, Oss and Bob, and a host of relatives and friends.
