All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Texhoma Cemetery--Texhoma TX Robert Schertler TEXHOMA, Okla. - Robert "Bob" Schertler, 71, died Friday, Dec. 17, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Christian Church in Texhoma with Clayton Crosby, pastor from Leesville, La., officiating. Burial will be in Texhoma, Texas Cemetery by Dawson Welch Funeral Home. Mr. Schertler was born in Hinton and served in the Army during World War II. From 1953 until 1973, he was involved in farming and ranching. He previously lived in El Reno and Grand Island for 19 years. In 1993, he returned to Texhoma. He attended Galilee Baptist Church in Evan, La. He married Delores Cooksey in 1950 at Okeeman. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Debbie Collins of McComb, Miss.; four sons, Rob Schertler of Oklahoma City, Randy Schertler of Pocola, Ronny Schertler of McComb and Rocky Schertler of Red Level, Ala.; three sisters, Grace Bohn of Hinton, Millie Gann of Carnegie and Helen Clayton of Mountain View; three brothers, Bill Schertler of Red Level, Johnny Schertler of Pocala and Harold Schertler of Pecos, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Society Progressive Supranuclar Palsy, 1838 Greene Tree Rd., Suite 515, Baltimore, MD 21208. Memorials will be accepted at the funeral home.
