Tags, 77, of Anadarko died Tuesday, 02-Jan-2001 in Anadarko. Officiating will be the Rev. Johnny Wray. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Smith Funeral Chapel of Anadarko. Tags was born 29-Jul-1923 in Versalles, Mo. to William Henry and Arrah Bell (Campbell) Tags. He married the former Melba Bailey 20- Apr-1990 in Anadarko. He moved to Anadarko in 1981. He had been a farmer and a long distance truck driver for most of his life. He was a loving husband and father. Preceding him in death was one son, Marvin Tags; one daughter, Gerry Tags; his parents; and siblings, William Monroe, Mary Eliza, Edward Elvis, Gertrude Emma, Myrtle Hanzel, Loyd Elmer, Irene Georgia, Paul Newton, Clara Christine, Coy Jack and Gena Angelvis. Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons, Harold Frank Tags of Conley and Gary William Tags of Anadarko; two stepsons, Billy Dyer of Anadarko and Kenny Dyer of Lone Grove; five daughters, Diane Martinez, Patsy Dyer, Dorothy McAlis, Kay Reeder, Marylyn Eddows and Deborah Yaws, all of California, Martha Bailey of Anadarko and Elaine Lane of Wister; three sisters, Stella Angel of Wister, Fay Alvis of Warrensburg, Mo., and Jane Cook of Washington; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Caddo County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/caddo/caddo.html
