"Cotton" Taylor, 82, Cement, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Cement Cemetery with Adriane Smith, Sterling, officiating. Mr. Taylor died Tuesday, April 6, 2004, in Lawton. Arrangements are by Robbins Funeral Home Cement Chapel. He was born Sept. 13, 1921, in Hollister to Tom B. and Aubrey Cockerham Taylor. He grew up in Cement and graduated from Cement High School. He married Dorothy Martin on Nov. 27, 1972, in Cement. She died Dec. 15, 1996. He served in the Air Force, and was an oil field worker until he retired in the late 1970s. Survivors include two stepdaughters: Carolyn Larson and her husband, Arthur, Westby, Wis.; and Petra Schmeckpeper, La Crescent, Minn.; eight stepgrandchildren; and many friends. He was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Joan Argo. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Sympathy cards may be sent to the family at www.robbinsfuneral.com.
