DECEMBER 19, 1979 page 2 RUTH THOMPSON A closed casket service for Ruth Lucinda Thompson, 78, of 111 W. Georgia will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Anadarko Presbyterian Church with the Rev. N.L. Darnell, pastor, officiating. Mrs. Thompson died Tuesday in a Houston, Texas hospital. A longtime resident of Anadarko, she was born Aug. 23, 1901 in De Queen, Ark., and was married Nov. 20, 1920 in Anadarko to Sam Thompson who served as mayor of Anadarko a number of years. He died Oct, 10, 1974. Mrs. Thompson had been a member of the Anadarko Crystal Rebekah Lodge No. 95 the past 20 years, where she had served as a Noble Grand, and was a member of the presbyterian Church of Anadarko. Survivors include one son Ronald B. of Houston; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Wornken of San Mateo, Calif., and five grandchildren.
