He was born October 24, 1920 in Hinton, Oklahoma to Vernon and Cora Trumbly. Marne, a highly decorated WWII veteran, served in the United States Army from September 10, 1942 until November 28, 1945 and was a survivor of the 338th Combat Engineers Division. He was awarded several decorations among which were two bronze stars. After his discharge from the service he went to work as a United States Civil Service Quality Controller for Tinker Air Force Base where he was employed from September 23, 1947 until he retired July 12, 1974. For a time of rest and relaxation Marne enjoyed following stock car races and going camping. He is survived by two sons: Marne Trumbly, Jr. and wife Wanda and Steven Trumbly both of Oklahoma City; one brother, Larry Trumbly of Oklahoma City; three sisters, Dorothy Duhme and Elda Ross of Oklahoma City and Irene Sloan of Lawton, Oklahoma and one grandchild; Kyle Trumbly and wife Renee. Marne's parents preceded him in death. Services are under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
