Bill was born on Jan 6, 1925, to George and Bessie Taylor in Lookeba, Okla. Bill is survived by Audrey his loving wife of 57 years, and his children: Richard Taylor of Paso Robles, Audine Edelstein of San Jose, Deborah Strukan of Chico, and Laurie Rothe of Durham, as well as his six grandchildren: Mark, Elisabeth, Brian, Whitney, Branden, and Chad to whom he was a devoted grandfather. Bill moved to Durham in 1963 from Santa Cruz, Calif. Bill enjoyed many different things, like golf, fixing up old Chevy cars, and horse racing, but Bill's most favorite pastime, was spending time with his grandchildren and family. As with most of his hobbies he chose them because it gave him time with his family. Because of his love of God and church he spent 25 years ministering in the Assembly of God Church. Funeral services for Bill will be held at 2 pm, Friday, May 25, 2007, at Newton-Bracewell Funeral Home in Chico. There will also be a graveside service at 10 am, Tuesday, May 29, 2007, at Glen Oaks Memorial Park.
