All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Lawton Constitution May 01, 2002 Luella Mae Vaughan Aug. 31, 1933 - April 26, 2002 Carnegie Cemetery CARNEGIE — Funeral for Luella Mae Vaughan, 68, Carnegie, will be at 10 a.m. today at Carnegie First Christian Church with Richard Tinker officiating. Ms. Vaughan died Friday, April 26, 2002, at a Carnegie hospital. Burial will be at Carnegie Cemetery under direction of Pitcher-Hackney Funeral Home. She was born Aug. 31, 1933, in Carnegie to Thompson and Ruby Toney Vaughan. She graduated from Oklahoma College for Women at Chickasha in 1956. She received her teaching certificate and taught first grade at Putnam City Elementary. She was a teacher for 20 years, a member of First Christian Church and a volunteer at the Carnegie Library until 2000. Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Calvin and Sarah Vaughan, Ocean Springs, Miss.; a sister and brother-in-law, Roberta and Allen Burk, Havre de Grace, Md.; three nephews: Robert Joseph Vaughan, Ocean Springs; and Thomas and Bradley Marshall, both of Centerville, Va.; a niece, Pamela Vaughan, El Paso, Texas; two cousins: George W. "Mutt" Reece and his wife, Glenda, Carnegie; and Elsie Sproles, Midwest City; two aunts, Pearl Drewery, de Leon, Texas; and Nola Mae Reynolds, El Paso; and her special friends, Karin, Hope and Alec Dyer.
