Alabama will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Smith Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bud Doughty, pastor of the Square Top Baptist Mission, officiating. Valla, a retired city and county employee, died Sunday at Grady Memorial Hospital in Chickasha. A lifetime resident of Anadarko, he was born Oct. 10, 1922 in Anadarko and was married to the former Minnie C. Holdge Nov. 11, 1958 in Duncan. Survivors include his wife of the home; a stepson, James Smith of Anadarko; two stepdaughters, Wanda Renfro of Oklahoma City and Norma Jensonnie of Dallas; a sister, Velma Pendley of Anadarko; 10 grandchildren, and five great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
