Venable, Betty Jo 

Betty Jo Venable, 61, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2004.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors 
Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street, with Joe Kirkwood, 
associate pastor of The Rock, officiating. Burial will be in Llano 
Cemetery.

Mrs. Venable was born Nov. 3, 1942, in Bridgeport, Okla., to Cleon Kelley 
and Verdie Heather Kelley. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, 
sister, aunt and friend. She had been a nurse for many years. She enjoyed 
all of her family being around and loved them all very much.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Charles Kelley.

Survivors include her husband, George "Cotton" Venable; a daughter, Debbie 
Carel and husband, Charles, of Oklahoma City; two grandchildren, Charity 
and Heather, both of Oklahoma City; her twin sister, Johnnie Hilton and 
husband, Calvin, of Amarillo; two half brothers, Roy Wilson of California 
and Virgil Wilson of Oregon; a stepsister, Jewel Davis of Little Rock, 
Ark.; and many nieces and nephews.
