All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Laverty Cemetery--Laverty OK © The Chickasha Daily Express February 1985 Wayne Wesley White Funeral for Wayne Wesley White, 68, 1528 S. 9th Street will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 1985, in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. Mr. White was born Sept. 6, 1916, in Cement, and died Saturday, Feb. 2, 1985, in Grady Memorial Hospital. Mr. White spent many years in the Cement and Laverty area. He moved to Chickasha in 1958. He married Edith Marie Haygood on May 15, 1940, at Anadarko. She preceded him in death on March 3, 1980. He married Melba Williams on June 30, 1983 in Chickasha. Mr. White farmed in the Cement and Laverty area and worked in the oil field for many years. He was a member of the Chickasha Roundup Club and the Laverty Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife; Melba White, of Chickasha; one son, Melvin Dewayne White of Muskogee; two stepsons, Clayton Williams and Gary Don Williams; both of Chickasha; three brothers, Kenneth White, Bedford White, both of Cement, and George White of Hinton; five sisters, Gertrude Cooper, Ruby Holmes, both of Cement, Carol Settles of Carmen, Dorothy White of Chickasha, and Ruth Sechrist of Apache; seven grandchildren, two great granddaughters, and host of nieces and nephews. Interment will be in Laverty Cemetery. ========= The Chickasha Daily Express February 1985 Wayne Wesley White Funeral for Wayne Wesley White, 67, Chickasha, was held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4,1985, in the chapel of Sevier Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Hart, pastor of Laverty Baptist Church, officiating and Rev. K.E. Rains assisting. Vocalist were the grace Quartet and Chester and Nadine Heavins. Organist was Mrs. Rosie Bush. Pallbearers were Jery McGuffin, Lester Heavin, Alton Holt, Loren Heavin, Joe Glass and Jack Ross. Honorary pallbearers were Walter Hall, Ronald Rogers, Estes Shadoan, Chester Goodson, Frank Ledford, Bill Sanders, Carl Hall, Bud Franks and Pete Norris.
