Gilbert Wedge

TURKEY - Gilbert Wedge, 85, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church with 
the Rev. Julius Early, pastor, and the Rev. Melvin Clinton, pastor of 
First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery in 
Turkey by Myers-Long Funeral Directors of Turkey.

Mr. Wedge was born in Anadarko, Okla., and graduated from Turkey High 
School. During World War II, he served in the Army Air Corps. He was a 
farmer and member of the First United Methodist Church of Turkey.

He married Wilma in 1945 at Sacramento, Calif. She died in 1992.

Survivors include three sons, John Wedge of Florence, Pat Wedge of 
Lewisville and Thomas Wedge of Dallas; two daughters, Kathy Jacobs of 
Plano and Mary Widener of Memphis; a sister, Frances Tomchek of Garden 
City, Kan.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 6 until 8 p.m. today at the funeral 
home.
