Watrous, son of Ransom and Elizabeth Watrous was born near Big Plain, Madison County, Ohio May 3rd, 1850 and departed this life September 16, 1907, aged 57 years 4 months and 13 days. He was united in marriage to Mary Jane Thackrey January 26, 1880. To this union were born seven children, three sons and four daughters, who are left with a bereaved wife and mother, an aged father, one brother and five sisters to mourn his loss, his mother and two brothers having preceded him to that great beyond. As a kind, loving, wise and prudent husband he filled the true functions of life. As a faithful, frugal, devoted and affectionate father he made full proof of his devotion. As a large-hearted, open handed, forbearing gentle and sympathetic husband and friend he won his way to the hearts of all who knew him. He surrendered all to his master before he died saying: "I have no fear; I am ready to go." -------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Caddo County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/caddo/caddo.html
