Whitworth CARNEGIE — Funeral for Lorene E. Whitworth, 83, Carnegie, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church, Carnegie, with the Rev. Ricky Huggins officiating. Mrs. Whitworth died Saturday, May 8, 2004, at her home. Burial will be at Fort Cobb Cemetery under direction of Pitcher-Hackney Funeral Home, Carnegie. She was born Dec. 2, 1920, in Fort Cobb to John R. and Agnes Rodgers Champion. She graduated from Fort Cobb Schools and married Orval Whitworth on March 1, 1940. He died March 20, 1990. She was a member of WMU at United Methoidst Church, Carnegie, and the Prairie Lone Home Demonstration Club. Survivors include two sons: Dwight Whitworth; and Edward Whitworth and his wife, Beverly, all of Carnegie; five grandchildren: Julie Kay Whitworth Chadwick; Janna Gay Whitworth Tyler; Daniel Edward Whitworth; Scott Adkins; and Susan Abbott Clark; and seven great-grandchildren; a sister and her husband, Marie and Ralph Seyfert, Loveland; a brother and his wife, Wayne and Bernice Champion, Carrollton, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
