All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Fairlawn Cemetery--Comanche OK Duncan Banner 14 Mar 2003 Vilda Woodrome Vilda Woodrome, 95, of Duncan died Wednesday, March 12, 2003, in Wilkins Nursing Center. Service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Immanuel Baptist Church with Dr. Jack Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. Vilda was born June 20, 1907, in Lookeba, Indian Territory, to Christopher C. and Cora Means Foust. She married George Calvin Woodrome in 1928 in Lookeba. He preceded her in death in 1975. Mrs. Woodrome was a retired cook and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Survivors include nine children, Cora Roden of Comanche, Edna Wilson of Marlow, Juanita Sweetman, Leigh Sides, Royce Woodrome and Billy Woodrome, all of Duncan, Geneva Kesler of Davis, Roberta Martin of Burkburnett, Texas, and Chris Woodrome of Ponca City; 36 grandchildren; 53 great- grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by five children, Shirley Biffle, Zulla Sweat, Jimmy Woodrome, Clarence Woodrome and Floyd Woodrome; and four sisters. Bearers will be Justin Martin, Ricky Martin, Mickey Fincannon, Willie Kesler, Kelly Kesler and Cody McAdoo.
