Wilkins, 51, of Chickasha, Okla., will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 29, 2004, in Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha. Steve W. Wilkins was born Oct. 16, 1952, in Ft. Campbell, KY,. and died on Monday, May 24, 2004, in Oklahoma City, Okla. Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home. ============ The Chickasha Express-Star 27 May 2004 STEVE W. WILKINS Graveside services for Steve W. Wilkins, 51, of Chickasha, will be held Saturday, May 29, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. in the Fairlawn Cemetery, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, with Sister Alice Wendling officiating. Steve W. Wilkins was born October 16, 1952, in Ft. Campbell, Kentucky, the son of Wayne Wilkins and Barbara Hill Wilkins. He died Monday May 24, 2004, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Steve came to Chickasha as a young boy, attending school in Cement and Hydro, Oklahoma, later graduating from high school in Clewiston, Florida. After graduating he served 4 years in the U.S. Army. He was stationed in Georgia and Germany until his honorable discharge. He married Linda Knapp on August 20, 1976, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He was employed with Richardson Carpet and Furniture, Badgetts Corporation, Maremont, Tri-City Pipeline, Jerry Wilkins Electric, The City of Chickasha Water Department, Canadian Valley Vo-Tech, teaching electrical during evening classes, and in 2001, after 22 years, he medically retired from Delta Faucet. He was a member of the Chickasha Masonic Lodge. Steve was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Pitts, his father-in- law, Don Knapp, and his mother-in-law, Wilma Knapp. Survivors include his wife, Linda Wilkins, of the home, son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Reina Wilkins, and son, Jeremy Wilkins, of Chickasha; father and stepmother, Wayne and Betty Wilkins, of Clewiston, Florida; sister and brother-in-law, Stephanie and Robbie Packer, of Gainsville, Florida; three half-brothers, Jimmy Pitts, Richard McGuire, and Bruce and Janis Pitts, of Chickasha; one granddaughter, Juliana Wilkins, of Chickasha; and one niece, Chanity Brown.
