Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the First Baptist Church of Fletcher of which he was a member. Officiating at the rites was Rev. Melvin Moody, pastor and burial was in the Fletcher cemetery. Born May 29, 1896 in Ashland, Ala., Walker had resided in Fletcher since 1919. He is survived by his wife, the former Pearl Burch; six daughters, three sons, one brother and five sisters. --------------------------------------------------------------------
